We recently welcomed Andy and his wife to Sparkhayes on the occasion of a special birthday of his. Afterwards he wrote with some very kind compliments about the camp site and we thought we'd share them. Thanks so much Andy, it's so lovely of you to write...
"I just wanted to drop you a line to say a big ‘Thank you’ for helping to make my 40th really great. Although the weather was a bit hit and miss (I think we went from snow, rain, gales and beautiful sunshine over 48 hours!) we both had a great weekend.
As soon as we arrived the relaxed ‘no-worries’ atmosphere struck us and we started to unwind. Phil gave us a very accurate weather forecast and suggested that maybe we should stay for 3 nights and keep an eye on the weather due to the approaching storm and thank goodness that he did!
We spent most of our time exploring the beautiful Exmoor, visiting Minehead and taking up your suggestion of a train ride to Watchet we also spend a lot of time eating some amazing food! – we stumbled upon the Castle just in time for free wine-tasting, after the wine tasting we staggered back to our tent and had a lovely night’s sleep!
The campsite is wonderful and picturesque, the other half kept commenting on how clean the toilets are, so she was happy! We have already raved on to friends and family about how great the site is and the value for money we felt.
So sorry to have rambled on a bit but Thank you both again for a wonderful stay!"
