We are located at Porlock just North off the A39, which follows the picturesque Somerset coastline between Williton and Lynmouth.
If approaching Porlock from Minehead, descend into the village and turn immediately right into Meadowhayes also indicated by a red and white CAMPING sign (please ignore the brown tourist sign nearby)
- the campsite is directly ahead of you at the end of this road. You might spot our 'camping' notice before you reach us!
If approaching Porlock from Lynmouth, descend Porlock Hill and travel through the village, rounding the corner by the church.
For cars, motorbikes, bicycles and on foot, look for a small road on the left-hand side, Sparkhayes Lane. Turn left in here and follow the winding road for 100yards until, at the junction with Meadowhayes, you see the campsite on your left.
For vans and motorhomes Sparkhayes Lane is very narrow so continue through the village until you are about to ascend out of the village and the war memorial is ahead of you, then look for the sweeping left-hand turn into Meadowhayes. Follow this road and you will find the campsite directly ahead of you.
MAP NOTE - please be aware that the 'new' road called Meadowhayes might not feature on your map or sat nav.

Satnavs
If you're following your satnav, our postcode is TA24 8NE. It would however be worth taking note of the above directions to ease any confusion at the end of your journey. Porlock Hill No trip to Porlock would be complete without witnessing the wonder of infamous Porlock Hill. Reputedly the steepest A-road in the country, it climbs 1,300 feet (400 m) in less than two miles (3.2 km), via a series of 1 in 4 hairpins. It can be avoided by using the Toll Road which branches off the A39 opposite the Ship Inn. |
